One curtain pulled towards the fixed glass keeps the balcony doorway clear when the door is open. It gathers over that glass, or the wall beside it, on a track long enough to hold it there. We measure the space the open curtain takes at the visit.
- A pair: it parts in the middle, so half of it gathers at the edge of the doorway and can narrow it.
- The hem: about 1 cm above the floor, or cut about 10 cm longer to rest on it, closing the gap where light shows underneath. A resting hem picks up dust and sand, and has to be pulled clear before the door slides.
- A door used all day: a vertical blind tilts for light and is drawn back only to walk through. A wave heading on a ceiling track slides back in even folds, and a motorized track can draw it for you.
- Renting: a longer track means new holes. Under Article 19 of Dubai Law No. 26 of 2007, changes need the landlord's permission. Article 21 has you hand the flat back in its original state (Khaleej Times explains both). Some leases allow drilling, with the holes repaired when the tenancy ends. This is information, not legal advice.
- Fitting day in a tower: many towers want a permit before a contractor comes in. We arrange what the building asks of us as the contractor. An NOC that must come from you, as owner or tenant, you obtain and pass on to us.
