If you're moving into a flat with curtains made for other windows, ask about curtain services before buying new: refitting, alterations and repairs to curtains and blinds. Sound fabric is worth that work; sun-weakened fabric rarely is. For new ones, the measuring visit is free.

What's wrong, and which service fixes it?
When a curtain or blind breaks, the fault is usually in a part that holds or moves it, and that part can often be replaced alone. Ask for parts and labour on separate lines, to weigh a repair against buying new.

Curtains you own can take a motor on a new track; a motorized blind is made new. We repair motors and remotes, including ones we didn't fit.

Is it worth repairing, or better to buy new?
A curtain is worth repairing only if its fabric will outlast the repair. Pull gently on a fold of curtain fabric that hung in front of the glass. Fabric that splits or feels papery was weakened by sun and won't hold new stitches, so it's time for new curtains.
A lining usually wears out before the curtain fabric it protects; if only the lining splits, an alteration can replace it. A blind with splitting fabric or cracked slats is better replaced, even if only its chain failed. A fallen track is worth refixing either way.

Before anyone visits, send photos on WhatsApp and say which curtains and blinds you hope to keep. For a motor on curtains you own, include the heading: it shows whether a motor track suits them.
We visit anywhere in Dubai, Monday to Saturday, 9 am to 7 pm.

What does a repair or alteration visit cost?
We talk the job through on the phone before anyone comes out. Unlike the free visit to measure for new blinds or curtains, a fitting or repair call-out is charged; fitting has a 500 minimum. Alterations are priced by the job, and a deposit confirms each order.
Can you hang or alter curtains bought from a shop or online?
Yes, we fit and alter curtains bought elsewhere. What matters more than the shop is the heading. Hooks along the top go into a track or onto a pole's rings; eyelets slide onto a pole. Hang shop curtains before anyone shortens them, so the new hem matches your floor.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong after the job?
After a job with us, you contact the salesperson who handled your order; keep their number with your receipt. Our workmanship carries a 2-year warranty. With any company, settle who answers afterwards before you pay.
Will our curtains and blinds suit the windows in a new flat?
Curtains suit a new track no wider than the one they were made for; on a wider track, a pair may not meet in the middle. Shortening is a small job, while letting down needs spare fabric in the hem. Blinds can usually be cut narrower or shorter, rarely made wider. Measure each new window before moving day.
